Gretchen Burman on Character U
Gretchen Burman, Founder of Character U, joined me in the #HipNJ studio to discuss teaching elementary aged children the power of positive self-talk.
Burman uses stories to bring twelve character concepts that she created called, The 12 Cs, to life in her book, The Adventures of Ooga and Zeeta.
Burman created two relatable characters called positive Green Glory and negative Red Plant. These characters help children understand the power of their thoughts and how they can change from positive to negative.
“I would love for this to be a TV show someday,” Burman says. “That would be my dream.” PBS, take note!
I loved talking with Gretchen and helping to bring awareness to the great work that she is doing.
